A young Vietnamese teenager was returning books at a public liberary late at night...she was later found beaten half to death and raped. The man was arrested but the girl is still suffering. She is now blind and suffering from brain damage and her family are going through trouble and running through all their money to pay for her medical bills. Their Medicaid expired not too long ago and they need help. My friends and I were moved my this story and felt compelled to start a fundraiser to help the girl and her family.
A fashion show fundraiser to help raise money for this victim and her family on September 27th 2008.
Where? The Tampa Convention Center
What we need?
A sponsor for the fundrasier, it will be a fashion show. We have the place already and we need around 3,000 dollars.
We need clothes from any designer, independent or name brand it does not matter. The more the better. Male and female clothes

"FASHION FOR COMPASSION"
August 22, 2008
To Whom It May Concern,
Two weeks before high school graduation,
an 18 year old girl stopped by her local library late at night to
return her books. She was later found brutally raped and beaten half to
death. The victim is now suffering from brain damage,
unable to speak or move, and is now blind. Due to the incident, her
family is nearly bankrupt and her Medicaid recently expired. She had a
full ride scholarship to a University. Now, her recent progress was
lifting her head for merely 10 seconds.
After hearing about this story, we were inspired to help the victim and her family. We are hosting a fashion show fundraiser on September 27, 2008. We believe your support will greatly benefit this event. Please, inform us if there is anything needed to make it a
possibility. Hopefully, we will be working together for a great cause.
Sincerely yours,
Michelle Phan
