Goodbye To The King

I don't consider Michael Jackson the King of Pop. He was more than that. To me, he was a King. Like most of everyone, I've been mourning ever since I heard the news about his death. I still cannot believe it's real. I remember listening to his music and watching his music videos on tv. He was spectacular and people looked passed all the good he did.

Michael Jackson has done more good to the world, but the media portrayed him in a different light.

During the end of the memorial, when his daughter walked up and spoke
Link is here

I remember breaking down and crying...the kids are going to suffer the most because they lost a father, not an icon

Our prayers will go out to them...

I remember listening to this song as a child...and felt so compelled and uplifted. He was truly amazing...

We'll miss you Michael....Your music will live in our hearts

~ Michelle Phan

P.S Remember the painting I did was for a class assignment poking fun of Michael Jackson? I'm sure a few of you remembered what it was for. I was in no way intentionally hurting Michael, I have nothing but love for him....I took it down out of respect.

When I first heard the news of his death, I was sad, but I couldn't cry. Then I plugged the iPod in and played "You are not Alone." After that, I couldn't STOP crying...

At one point in time you thought that it was acceptable or easy to make fun of him in your painting and now that you felt guilty only because he had died, otherwise, you wouldn't have. You were just as a bully as anyone else who likes to pick on people who's showed "weirdness". You poked fun of him because you bought into the superficiality of the media. Crocodile tears to me. You've got a lot to learn as an artist.

I bawled when I heard his daughter speak, it truly is such a sad thing.

Thankfully now he can forever remain in peace, without the cruel judgment of mankind.

RIP

i completely agree with you - everyone who knew michael knew he had a genuinely kind soul. he was just unfairly portrayed & attacked by the paparazzi who never him a break since childhood. that must've been so incredibly difficult - being constantly judged by millions when you're growing up. may he rest in peace & i wish nothing but the very best for his children. they loved him soo much :(

people are just kissing his ass now that he's dead. who gives a fuck? people die every day. a couple years ago, everyone hated him for raping kids in the butt. LEMMINGS. Try thinking for yourselves instead of feeling everything the media tells you to feel.
